Count Your Blessings

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

Sometimes, though very rarely, happiness comes to us with a big bang, but usually it is in small doses or it is a realisation of the good things we have going for us.  If we bring these areas to mind often enough in spite of the trials we are undergoing, they could cheer us up and remind us that in spite of everything, most of the time, we have a lot to be thankful for.  Given below is a list of those happiness areas which we could do well to remember, if and when they apply to us. The list is long, but read it and see how much we may have going for us.

  1. Peace in the country in which we live.
  2. Peace in the home.
  3. A compatible and caring mate.
  4. A secure job or one you enjoy doing.

enjoyment of all our senses.

television, books, etc.

  1. A good education
  2. A shoulder to cry on
  3. Someone to hug you, when you need one.
  4. A sympathetic ear.
  5. Good neighbours.
  6. Absence of strife.
  7. Availability of educational facilities.
  8. Facilities that work e.g. electricity, telephone, internet (information

and games at your fingertips).

  • Being able to afford essentials.
  • Being able to afford luxuries.
  •  Protection from the criminal elements in society.

While all these things may not apply to all of us all the time, there are enough of them

that will apply to us that would brings us some measure of comfort and happiness when we bring them back to mind. So when things are a bit rough and you are going through a hard time, remind yourself of some of the positive things in your life. It may help. Count your blessings.

  1. Amazing! This blog looks just like my old one! It’s on a totally different subject but it has pretty much the same layout
and design. Outstanding choice of colors!
